The important aspects of Caroline’s thrown ceramics are essentially combining shape, colour and finish to every piece. Recently, more time is spent colouring clays with stains and mixing them with white stoneware clay. It is very exciting seeing the patterns evolving as each pot is turned, then burnished smooth making it very tactile. The latest pieces are called ‘Celestial Pottery’, which becomes clear when looking at the coloured patterns and forms. Heartycards are individually created designs photographed mainly in the Yorkshire landscape.
